Remember the tune from decades ago “You Are Sunshine?”
Well, that song seemed to instantly calm Chase as I would sing it to him when he was a baby.
Maybe because it describes him…
Chase is our Sunshine, our Big Bright Sunshine
He makes us happy when skies are grey.
You’ll never know Chase, how much we love you.
Please don’t take your sunshine away.
Okay – I adapted it a bit – but those are the lyrics I sang to him when I could still carry him around.
Today that baby turns 16 years old! Aaack!
