Dearest Rain,
While it was so nice of you to drop in for an unexpected visit -I have to admit - I really wasn’t expecting you to stay for quite so long.
Don’t get me wrong. I have loved having you around and truly appreciate all you did during your first couple of days to help around the yard and provide a splashing good time for my kids and I out on our driveway. You make the best puddles I’ve ever seen, and your assistance with hairstyling and wardrobe selections made our choice of apparel and hats a piece of cake for us each day. Really, we've had a delightful time with you and have thoroughly enjoyed your company.
That being said {and please don’t take this the wrong way - I would never want to offend} I understand there are many other global neighbors who have so much more room for you and would welcome your lengthy stay. I’m happy to make arrangements if that would be helpful. Please let me know which travel dates would be best…may I recommend this afternoon before Sam’s lacrosse game?
Most Sincerely,
Shannon
