Favorite Photo Friday

We spent Thanksgiving 2009 in Historic Kirtland, Ohio where my mother and her husband were serving as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We were able to take a tour of the Kirtland Temple, currently in possession of The Community of Christ. It is remarkable inside – the woodworking and architecture is so refined. I tried to imagine what it was like to create such a beautiful structure with the tools available circa mid 1800’s.

The sky in this photo is nearly the same sky here today in New Hampshire.  It was a cool autumn afternoon when we snapped this shot just before going on the tour.  I doctored it up a little, and voila!

Happy Friday!
