Father’s Day

This Sunday is a day to give back to a guy who has given us so much…our Dads, stepfathers, significant father figures – and of course our husbands who are Dads.  Like you, I am blessed to have these great men in my life.

Have you been thinking about what you’re going to give them?

In our house, breakfast in bed is tradition.  Harvey’s favorite breakfast is strawberry pancakes and bacon. {They make a great dinner too!}

But before that Sunday morning meal, Harvey has another meal in mind. He specifically requested that is his gift this year be dinner with all five of us at his favorite restaurant, Outback.  We haven’t been there in ages.

But I still think he needs something to open on Sunday, don’t you agree?

Here are some ideas I’m thinking of:

Tickets to a concert or favorite sporting event.

For Dad’s, like Harvey, who like a clean car, this kit is cute. I think we’ll add a container of quarters or tokens to his favorite car washing venue. Maybe your hubby or father would prefer a detailing gift certificate.

Instead of getting him another tie, here’s a cute way to reuse one of those old ties he’s received for Father’s Day over the years.

We are totally making these cute cupcakes, {Harvey is grilling maniac} and a festive and fun banner like this one my friend Brittany made for her daughter’s birthday. Except ours, of course, will say Happy Father’s Day with some hearts instead of numbers.

I’m tempted to post what I’m sending to my Dad, but he’s an avid Everythingish reader and I want him to be surprised. {mwah ha ha!}

I’d love to hear what your ideas are.
