JONATHAN J. DUNLAP
Age 70, of Bradford Woods, formerly of Woodbury, CT, on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Beloved husband for 47 years of Kathleen (McGurrin) Dunlap; loving father of Genevieve Cook (Jonathan), Cary Kathleen Daly (Austin) and Jonathan R. Dunlap (Courtney); proud grandfather of Maxfield, Jacqueline, Ella, Sofia, Aidan, Olivia, A.J., Christopher and Nathan; son-in-law of Lois McGurrin. Predeceased by his sister Mary Dunlap Donaldson; also survived by loving nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Friends will be received Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., (724) 772-8800, where a memorial service will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. A private Committal Service will take place in Woodbury, CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation, 274 Madison Ave., Ste. 1004, New York, NY 10016, www.cbtf.org in honor of Jon's granddaughter Sofia.
While it was definitely an “up” to see my family this weekend, especially my wonderful cousins Gen, Cary and Jon, the circumstances were sad and way too sudden.
You will be sorely missed Uncle Jon.
and symmetries, Jon departs this stage as Sam and Chase enter it to begin their roles in earnest ... high hopes for what they each contribute to the unfolding next act.
